On the June 2nd Primary Election
Dear San Francisco Democrats,
As we approach Election Day, I find myself reflecting on the past two years as Chair. In November 2024, San Francisco elected candidates resolved to fix public safety, housing, and public education. And now, the City is cleaner, safer, and our economy is on the path to recovery. Crime is dropping to record lows. The response to our unhoused neighbors has improved and led to fewer people living on the streets. Changes to housing laws are beginning to make it easier to build new homes for all San Franciscans.
For this June election, we endorse Supervisor Stephen Sherrill and Supervisor Alan Wong to continue supporting San Francisco’s rise. In this election cycle, we hear voters talking about the affordability crisis that people are facing across the nation and in San Francisco. That’s why we are telling voters to vote NO on Prop D, which could jeopardize San Francisco's economic recovery. The Mayor and the San Francisco Chronicle agree with us that Prop. D would be disastrous to our fragile economic recovery.
Today at 8pm is the DEADLINE to return mail-in-ballots or vote in-person. It is recommended that you do NOT drop your ballot into a mailbox.
There are many of our local elections that in the past have been decided by a few hundred votes. Your voice MATTERS!
In solidarity,
Chair Nancy Tung
