YMCA Food Pantry Volunteering

Join the YMCA and fellow community members in supporting local families through our weekly Food Pantry Volunteering program, held every Tuesday afternoon. As food insecurity continues to impact neighborhoods across San Francisco, volunteers play a critical role in ensuring that fresh, healthy groceries reach those who need them most.

Volunteers help with a range of activities including setting up the pantry space, sorting and packaging produce and dry goods, and distributing food to individuals and families in a welcoming and respectful environment. No prior experience is necessary. Just a willingness to lend a hand and make a difference.

This is a great opportunity for students, civic groups, or anyone looking to give back in a meaningful and tangible way. Whether you can volunteer once or make it a weekly habit, your time and care directly impact the well-being of our community.

Come help us fight food insecurity, one box at a time.

Event will be from 1:30pm-4pm but you can come and go as you'd like.
