September 16, 2025 District 4 Special Election Endorsement Calendar

On May 29th, 2025, the San Francisco Department of Elections certified a petition to recall district 4 supervisor Joel Engardio. They have scheduled a special election which will take place on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.

Only voters registered and residing in Supervisorial District 4 will be eligible to participate in this election.

The Endorsements Committee of the San Francisco Democratic Party has laid out the following calendar for reviewing applications for consideration of endorsement by both the proponents and opponents of the ballot measure campaign pertaining to the recall of supervisor Joel Engardio.

  • The Endorsements Committee will release their application and questionnaire on INSERT DATE HERE

  • The endorsement application and questionnaire will be open until July 16th, 11:59pm.

  • The questionnaire responses will be posted on this webpage and circulated to members of the San Francisco Democratic County Central Committee for their review on July 17th at 11am.

  • The Democratic County Central Committee will conduct a special meeting on July 30th at 6:30pm that will consist of both the endorsement interview conducted by the Endorsements Committee, and then afterwards, the entire Democratic County Central Committee will take up the question of conducting endorsements in this special election.
