Join the SF Democratic Party for MLK Jr Day of Service at GLIDE Honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy by taking action to support our community. Join us for a morning of service at GLIDE, a nationally recognized center for social justice that has been serving San Francisco's Tenderloin community since 1963.
GLIDE provides comprehensive services to individuals and families experiencing poverty and homelessness, serving over 655,000 meals annually and helping thousands of people access critical resources.
What We'll Be Doing: Volunteers will support GLIDE's essential services, which may include meal preparation and service, organizing donations, assisting with community programs, or other activities based on the day's needs.
What to Bring:
• Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes
• Water bottle
• Positive attitude and willingness to serve

No experience necessary! All volunteers are welcome. Make MLK Day a "day on, not a day off" by giving back to our community.

Thank you for signing up to volunteer with GLIDE on MLK Jr Day of Service! Please arrive at 330 Ellis St. by 6:50 AM for check-in. Wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Parking can be limited in the Tenderloin, so we encourage using public transit (nearest BART: Powell St. or Civic Center stations). We look forward to serving our community with you!
