June 2026 Endorsement Process
June 2, 2026 Election Endorsement Applications
The San Francisco Democratic Party issues endorsements for municipal and regional candidates as well as local ballot measures.
The California Democratic Party makes endorsements for federal and state candidates as well as statewide ballot measures. These endorsements become the official endorsements of the San Francisco Democratic Party.
Board of Supervisors, Board of Education & Local Ballot Measures
A joint meeting of the Endorsements Committee & the Issues and Resolutions Committee will hold a meeting on Monday, February 23, 2026 at 5pm to interview candidates for the following offices:
Board of Supervisors (Districts 2, 4)
Board of Education (1 seat)
Superior Court Judge (Seat 16)
They will also be interviewing proponents and opponents of local ballot measures anticipated to be on the June 2nd ballot that have applied in time to be considered.
To qualify for an endorsement interview, all candidates must indicate that they support the principles of our Party platform, the candidate endorsement questionnaire, and return it to info@sfdems.org by the following dates:
Board of Supervisors, Board of Education: Friday, February 13, 2026, at 5 pm
Superior Court Judge: Friday, February 20, 2026, at 5 pm
Candidates must also complete a sexual harassment training and prevention course as required by our Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment Policy, which can be found on our website here.
Note: If a candidate has completed a Sexual Harassment Prevention Training due to their employment within the last year and can provide a copy of the certificate confirming that completion, it can be used as a substitute to the requirement above.
Questionnaires will be published to the SF Democratic Party website once the deadline has passed.
The SF DCCC will deliberate and vote to endorse candidates and local ballot measures on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at 6:30pm. This meeting will be conducted in person and be recorded and uploaded on the SF DCCC’s YouTube page. Public comment will be taken at the beginning of the meeting.
March 2026: All Remaining Ballot Measures
The Issues and Resolutions Committee will hold a remote Zoom meeting on Monday, March 23, 2026 at 6pm to interview proponents and opponents of all remaining local ballot measures anticipated to be on the June 2nd ballot that have applied in time to be considered.
To qualify for an endorsement interview, all ballot measure committees must submit an application by no later than Friday, March 20, 2026, at 5 pm
The SF DCCC will deliberate and vote to endorse candidates and local ballot measures on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at 6:30pm. This meeting will be conducted in person and be recorded and uploaded on the SF DCCC’s YouTube page. Public comment will be taken at the beginning of the meeting.
