Don’t Poke the Bear

Fellow Democrats,

This is our moment.

Right now, Trump and his allies are launching their most dangerous assault on our freedoms yet—targeting civil rights, women's health, immigrant families, workers, and our LGBTQ+ community. They're not just attacking policies. They're attacking the very foundation of our democracy.

But we're not backing down.

Governor Newsom and our state leaders have put **Proposition 50** on the ballot as our direct response to this threat. This November 4th, San Francisco and California have the power to send a thunderous message that will echo across the entire nation.

The choice is crystal clear: Vote YES on Prop 50.

Forget the internal debates. Forget the political posturing. This isn't about being the "perfect" Democrat—this is about being Americans who refuse to let democracy crumble on our watch.

The whole country is watching California. They're watching San Francisco. They want to see if we'll talk the talk or walk the walk.

Here's how we walk the walk:
- Vote YES on Proposition 50 when your ballot arrives in October
- Talk to three people every week about Prop 50 and share the message on social media
- Volunteer with the campaign to make sure every Democrat gets to the polls

Our democracy isn't something we can take for granted anymore. It's something we have to fight for—precinct by precinct, vote by vote.

The time for hoping is over. The time for action is NOW.

Together, we build the blue firewall that protects our future.

In solidarity,

Nancy Tung
Chair, San Francisco Democratic Party
